DESCRIPTION:In a country where mountain biking is constrained to more competitive placement\, Ladakh MTB fest aims to go beyond that and explore the idea of celebrating the sport and the culture in its purest form.Ladakh MTB Mtb fest came into its existence in the year 2019 with the establishment of Disko valley bike park in Leh.The primary objective of the festival is to promote mountain biking in Ladakh and also\,display the riding potential of the region to the global community.The festival is a multi-day event with different activities spread over a week with jumps\, Freeride and side jib sessions at the bike park.And\, to keep things a little interesting\, the festival includes Downhill Racing along with Cross country as well. \nThe Location for the festival is the only space in India that is completely dedicated to mountain biking. The bike park houses some of the biggest dirt jumps and drops in the country\, with different jump lines staged on different grades along with a pump track as well.The bike park is to provide an infrastructure for the region and ultimately transform Ladakh into a The Mountain biking capital of the country. \nSo\, See you in August for some Hang time and Disko!

Post yoga breakfast is served from 8.30A.M till 9.30 A.M. in the dining area. \nAfter breakfast climbers pick up crash pads and water and head out to a sector of their choice. Lunch is generally brought to the crags around 1.P.M. or climbers can head back to the campsite for lunch. \nPost lunch climbers continue climbing and chilling at the rocks until 6 and then head back to the campsite. br Dinner is served at 7.30.P.M. movie screening and bon fire and some live acoustic music under the stars is the end of the day. \n\nBouldering sessions – Morning and Evening.\nSlackline/Highline – Post Breakfast session\nMountainBiking- Post Breakfast session\nKayaking—Post Breakfast session\nFlowart– Pre-Dinner session\nYoga – Pre-Breakfast session.

Elite \n2. Amateur \n3. Non-Road Bike \n4. Men Master (40+) \n5. Under-18 Open \n6. Women \n7. Women Master (40+) \n1. Elite category is also open for all men who want to race irrespective of age. But this category has an experience barrier since this is the category where most of the professionals take part in. It is better to have a good level of experience to enroll into Elite category otherwise it might cause inconvenience for the entire peloton due to lack of bike handling skills and general racing experience. \nNote: Whoever competes in Elite category should stick to Elite category for the rest of the season\, they can’t go back to Amateur in other Road/MTB races of this season. – All racers who have represented their individual states or UTs have to compulsorily compete at the Elite category. \n2.  Amateur category is open for anybody who wants to race irrespective of age. \n3. Non-Road Bike Category is for only non-road bikers. Cyclist can use hybrid\, MTB\, Foldie. Note: Fixie and Single Speed Bike is not allowed in this category\, they can register in other category. \n4. Men Masters category is for anybody who is above 40 years of age. \n5. Women: – Girls below the age of 18 may opt for Women category also if they wish to. \n6. WOMEN MASTER (40+) \nThis category is for women who are ABOVE the age of 40 years as on the race day. The Women Master category is created to cater to women participants who think they can compete against women who are younger. This category will mirror the distances that the women category races at. \nNote: 1) Whoever participates in the Women Master category should stick to the Master category for the rest of the season\, they can’t go back to Women category in other road races of that particular season. 2) Women above 40 who want to race the distances that the Elite racers do and want to compete at the Masters can still choose to do so by registering in the Open Masters category. 3) We need a minimum of 10 participants on race day in the Women Master category. In case of lesser number of participation\, then the Women Master category will merged with Women category and all women riders will share the same podium irrespective of their age. \n7. Open Under-18 category is common for both boys and girls who are below the age of 18. Girls below the age of 18 may opt to compete in the Women category also if they wish to. \n– Photo and Birthdate ID card mandatory. \n– It’s mandatory for parent/guardian/team manager to accompany their U-18 participants. \n– Parent/Guardian/team manager owns full responsibility for the safety of the participant. They will have to sign the indemnity form before issue of BIB\, without which the participant will not be allowed to take part in the race. \n—————————————————————————————– \n\n\n\n\nGeneral Rules :\n\n\n\n\n\nQ: Where should i put my bib ?\n– At front handle bar of your bicycle.\n– Race BIBs/Numbers MUST be perfectly visible or displayed on the handlebars of the bicycle.\nAltering\, cutting\, bending\, covering behind any object not visible properly\, or placing unauthorised sponsors™ logos on BIB numbers will result in a fine and/or disqualification\, and finish timing won’t be given.\n\n \n\n– You must not use offensive or abusive language during the race\, act in any anti-sporting manner\, be disrespectful to the event volunteers / officials or ignore the race regulations.\n– You and your supporters are reminded of their obligations to act responsibly always before\, during and after the event.\n– You are not permitted to shortcut the course. The responsibility for following the official route lies with you. If you do not follow the official route you will be disqualified.\n– You are not permitted to willingly alter the course in any way without first consulting with the race officials. This includes moving rocks\, logs\, tape or other natural obstacles.\n– You must act in a sporting manner at all times and permit any faster rider to overtake without deliberately obstructing them\, when it is safe to do so.\n– If you pull out of a race (DNF or Did Not Finish) you must notify the timing station or closest course marshal.
