SUMMARY:The Coffee Trails 3.0
DESCRIPTION:The Coffee Trails 3.0 is set to happen in Coorg on 9th November 2025.\nCoorg is one of the smallest districts in Karnataka\, next to the Kerala border known for its verdant coffee estates\, hills\, lush greenery and the warrior community of Kodavas\, because of which it is called the ‘land of the bold and beautiful’. Also known as the ‘Scotland of India’\, it was given the term because of its previous Scottish and British settlers being reminded of their homeland by the hilly terrain\, greenery\, and the cool climate. The Coffee Trails will take the runners through beautiful coffee estates and some of the most beautiful trails and views in all of Coorg. The route will take in three of the most well-known peaks in the area; Thadiandamol (the tallest peak in Coorg)\, Kabbe and Chomakund.\nCategories:\nDISTANCE: 65km\nTOTAL ELEVATION GAIN: 3333m\nHIGHEST ALTITUDE: 1\,697m\nCUT-OFF: 13hrs\nITRA points: 3\n\n\nDISTANCE: 35km\nTOTAL ELEVATION GAIN: 1339m\nHIGHEST ALTITUDE: 1\,697m\nCUT-OFF: 8hrs\nITRA points: 1\n\nDISTANCE: 11km\nTOTAL ELEVATION GAIN: 710m\nHIGHEST ALTITUDE: 1\,697m\nCUT-OFF: 3hrs\nITRA points: 0\n\n\nThe views are breathtaking and the course difficulty ranges from comfortable to downright bad. The comfortable sections are stone or mud trails through the forest and the coffee plantations. The downright bad sections are the grassy areas on the hills which are similar to tussocks and clumps of heather on the English fells. Being in the monsoon\, the trails are also bound to be a little slippery. It’s a 30k loop with 1300m elevation gain.\nEmail – contact@grandindiantrails.com

SUMMARY:Dudhsagar Ultra Trail\, Goa
DESCRIPTION:Register for 2025 edition by clicking here.\n\nAbout Dudhsagar:\nDudhsagar is a four-tiered waterfall located in the Western Ghats of India. It is one of the most prominent and beautiful waterfalls in the country. The waterfall is situated on the Mandovi River in the state of Goa\, near the border with Karnataka. The name “Dudhsagar” means ‘sea of milk’. The milky appearance of the water forms when it cascades down the rocky tiers\, resembling a stream of milk.\n\n \nMythical story!\nThis Sea of Milk name for Dudhsagar Waterfall came from the myth associated with it. The story goes like this once there was a princess\, she was the daughter of king of ghats. She used to go to nearby lake to bath and along with her\, the maidens used to drink milk from the jug. One day a prince was crossing the lake and hearing the sound of laughter of princess and the maiden he stopped. Maidens poured the jug of milk in the water around her to save her honor. Hence the name “Dudhsagar”.\n \nWhy to run Dudhsagar Ultra Trail?\nGoa is always known to its visitors for its beaches\, pubs\, and nightlife. But what many do not know is that being occupied by the majestic hills of the Western Ghats\, the part of Goa near its Karnataka border is dotted with many waterfalls and beautiful trails in Mollem National Park & Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary like the Dudhsagar trek trail. So even if you are not a beach lover\, there is yet another reason to visit Goa – The scenic Western Ghats and its forests.\n\n\n\nCategories:\n110 KM:\n\nElevation Gain: 1690m\nHighest Altitude: 650m\nCut-Off time: 16 hrs\nITRA Points: 4\n \n\n55 KM\nElevation gain: 640m\nHighest Altitude: 201m\nCut-Off time: 8 hrs\nITRA Points: 2\n \n21 KM- Half Marathon\nElevation gain: 280m\nHighest Altitude: 201m\nCut-Off time: 4 hrs\nITRA Points: 0\n \n10 KM – Trail Challenge\nCut-Off time: 2 hrs\nITRA Points: 0\n\n3 KM – Fun Run\nCut-Off time: 1 hr\n\nITRA Points: 0 \n \n\n\nRoute Description:\nThe trail starts from the beautiful rustic 50-acre Dudhsagar Plantation with a natural pool\, passes through the dense forests and beautiful rural side of Goa and all the races takes / U-turn at the Dudhsagar waterfalls\, located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary and Mollem National Park in the Western Ghats. And it is all worth it when you reach the waterfall glory. When you witness the water rapids for the first time\, you will be surprised to see such a magnificent view\, and the natural beauty surrounding it is praise-worthy.\nApart from the sanctuary jeep trails and crop fields the course is also set on mountainous terrain and is a mix of easy-ascent slopes with a few rocky sections. The route offers you to climb and decent moderate technical sections with loose rocks but no big boulders. As this race is organized by Grand Indian Trails\, participants are advised to understand and accept the risks of accidents that can be caused by the race.
