It is bound by the Indian states of Maharashtra to the north\, and Karnataka to the east and south\, with the Arabian Sea in the west. The Eleventh Finance Commission of India named Goa the best-placed state because of its infrastructure\, and India’s National Commission on Population rated it as having the best quality of life in India. Goa is hub for tourist and have plenty to offer whether you are a beach lover or adventure seeker. They can decide if\, when\, and where to rest or eat and proceed.\nThe first team to complete the whole course\, with all the control points visited without any support will be declared the winner.\nTeams are required to complete the entire distance together (always within hearing and visual distance of each other)\, helping and assisting each other.\nTeamwork and team dynamics are essential. A detailed understanding of your teammates and of your own capabilities is essential and key in the race.\n\nTeam format \n\nTeams of 4 members for Full Course / Team of 2 for shorter course (60KM)\nTeams can consist of members of any combination: All Males and/or all Females\nThe official category is a premier team of 4-members with ONE FEMALE or ONE MALE (2+2 or 3+1)  who will qualify for India & Asia Rankings.\n\nRace Distance \n\nThe race will cover approximately 110 to 130+ km’s\nTop teams are expected to finish the course in 16 hours with the last team in before 24 hours (Rest excluded)\nAll teams should be able to finish the race before 12:00 PM on Sunday Afternoon 10th September 2023\nThe route scouted so far comprises 75 to 85% of mountain biking\, 15 to 20% of trail running / hiking\, and  10 to 15% of kayaking (final distances will be confirmed closer to the race date for registererd participants only.\n100% Orienteering\n\nRace Disciplines \n\nMountain biking & Hike a bike – Teams should be prepared for a range of riding including single track\, steep hills\, gravel roads\, mud roads\, hair pin bends climbs\, downhill\, tarmac roads and ofcourse hike a bike.\nTrail Running / hiking – This Will involve traveling by foot through rugged terrains\, tarmac roads\, farmlands\, mountains and valley’s etc\nKayaking – Kayaks\, paddles\, and safety jackets will be provided by race organizers\, athletes are welcome to bring their own paddles\, PFDs. These kayaks are very stable and suitable for novices (No outside kayaks will be allowed)\nOrienteering – Orienteering is an extremely important part of the race. The Women Master category is created to cater to women participants who think they can compete against women who are younger. This category will mirror the distances that the women category races at. \nNote: 1) Whoever participates in the Women Master category should stick to the Master category for the rest of the season\, they can’t go back to Women category in other road races of that particular season. 2) Women above 40 who want to race the distances that the Elite racers do and want to compete at the Masters can still choose to do so by registering in the Open Masters category. 3) We need a minimum of 10 participants on race day in the Women Master category. In case of lesser number of participation\, then the Women Master category will merged with Women category and all women riders will share the same podium irrespective of their age. \n7. Open Under-18 category is common for both boys and girls who are below the age of 18. Girls below the age of 18 may opt to compete in the Women category also if they wish to. \n– Photo and Birthdate ID card mandatory. \n– It’s mandatory for parent/guardian/team manager to accompany their U-18 participants. \n– Parent/Guardian/team manager owns full responsibility for the safety of the participant. They will have to sign the indemnity form before issue of BIB\, without which the participant will not be allowed to take part in the race. \n—————————————————————————————– \n\n\n\n\nGeneral Rules :\n\n\n\n\n\nQ: Where should i put my bib ?\n– At front handle bar of your bicycle.\n– Race BIBs/Numbers MUST be perfectly visible or displayed on the handlebars of the bicycle.\nAltering\, cutting\, bending\, covering behind any object not visible properly\, or placing unauthorised sponsors™ logos on BIB numbers will result in a fine and/or disqualification\, and finish timing won’t be given.\n\n \n\n– You must not use offensive or abusive language during the race\, act in any anti-sporting manner\, be disrespectful to the event volunteers / officials or ignore the race regulations.\n– You and your supporters are reminded of their obligations to act responsibly always before\, during and after the event.\n– You are not permitted to shortcut the course. The responsibility for following the official route lies with you. If you do not follow the official route you will be disqualified.\n– You are not permitted to willingly alter the course in any way without first consulting with the race officials. This includes moving rocks\, logs\, tape or other natural obstacles.\n– You must act in a sporting manner at all times and permit any faster rider to overtake without deliberately obstructing them\, when it is safe to do so.\n– If you pull out of a race (DNF or Did Not Finish) you must notify the timing station or closest course marshal. The event is organized by the Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society (KATPS) and District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) with the technical support of the Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association (IKCA). The International Kayaking competition will be held at Thusharagiri in Kozhikode from August 04 to 06.
