The master category was created to cater to participants who think they can compete against elites who are younger. We need a minimum of 10 participants on Race Day in the Men Master Category. In case of lesser number of participation on the race day\, then the Men Master category will be merged with Elite Category and all riders will share the same podium irrespective of their age.  This category will mirror the distances that the Elite category races at. Note: Whoever participates in Men Master should stick to the Master category for the rest of the season\, they can’t go back to Amateur/Elite in other road races of this season. \n6. Women Master (40+) category is for anybody who is over 40 years old. The Women Master category was created to cater to women participants who think they can compete against women who are younger. \nWe need a minimum of 10 participants on Race Day in the Women Master Category. In cases of lesser number of participation on the race day\, then the Women Master category will be merged with Women Category and all women riders will share the same podium irrespective of their age. This category will mirror the distances that the women’s category races at. Note: Whoever participates in the Women Master category should stick to the Women Master category for the rest of the season; they cannot go back to the Women category in other road races of the current season. \n7. SUMMARY:Dudhsagar Ultra Trail\, Goa
DESCRIPTION:About Dudhsagar:\nDudhsagar is a four-tiered waterfall located in the Western Ghats of India. It is one of the most prominent and beautiful waterfalls in the country. The waterfall is situated on the Mandovi River in the state of Goa\, near the border with Karnataka. The name “Dudhsagar” means ‘sea of milk’. The milky appearance of the water forms when it cascades down the rocky tiers\, resembling a stream of milk.\n\nMythical story!\nThis Sea of Milk name for Dudhsagar Waterfall came from the myth associated with it. The story goes like this once there was a princess\, she was the daughter of king of ghats. She used to go to nearby lake to bathe and along with her\, the maidens used to drink milk from the jug. One day a prince was crossing the lake and hearing the sound of laughter of princess and the maiden he stopped. Maidens poured the jug of milk in the water around her to save her honour. Hence the name “Dudhsagar”.\n \nWhy to run Dudhsagar Ultra Trail?\nGoa is always known to its visitors for its beaches\, pubs\, and nightlife. But what many do not know is that being occupied by the majestic hills of the Western Ghats\, the part of Goa near its Karnataka border is dotted with many waterfalls and beautiful trails in Mollem National Park & Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary like the Dudhsagar trek trail. So even if you are not a beach lover\, there is yet another reason to visit Goa – The scenic Western Ghats and its forests.\n\n  \n\n\n\nIf you have doubts or want more details\, click below to chat with someone from the team\n\n\n\nCategories:\n100 KM:\n\nElevation Gain: 1690m\nHighest Altitude: 650m\nCut-Off time: 16 hrs\nITRA Points: 4\n \n\n50 KM\nElevation gain: 640m\nHighest Altitude: 201m\nCut-Off time: 8 hrs\nITRA Points: 2\n \n21 KM- Half Marathon\nElevation gain: 280m\nHighest Altitude: 201m\nCut-Off time: 4 hrs\nITRA Points: 0\n \n10 KM – Trail Challenge\nCut-Off time: 2 hrs\nITRA Points: 0\n\n3 KM – Fun Run\nCut-Off time: 1 hr\n\nITRA Points: 0 \n\n\nRoute Description:\nThe trail starts from the beautiful rustic 50-acre Dudhsagar Plantation with a natural pool\, passes through the dense forests and beautiful rural side of Goa and all the races takes / U-turn at the Dudhsagar waterfalls\, located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary and Mollem National Park in the Western Ghats. And it is all worth it when you reach the waterfall glory. When you witness the water rapids for the first time\, you will be surprised to see such a magnificent view\, and the natural beauty surrounding it is praise-worthy.\nApart from the sanctuary jeep trails and crop fields the course is also set on mountainous terrain and is a mix of easy-ascent slopes with a few rocky sections. The route offers you to climb and decent moderate technical sections with loose rocks but no big boulders. As this race is organized by Grand Indian Trails\, participants are advised to understand and accept the risks of accidents that can be caused by the race. To be able to enjoy the race\, it is recommended for participants to practice regularly to endure the challenge.
