Kangra Ultra 2026
is a multi-distance ultra running event set in the scenic Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India, organised by BigFoot Adventures India in partnership with Himachal Tourism. The race blends fitness, culture, heritage and Himalayan views — taking runners past ancient forts, temples and verdant valleys while testing endurance across a range of distances. It’s designed for both seasoned ultra runners and those stepping up to long-distance trail racing.

Kangra Ultra brings a wide range of distances to suit various abilities — from introductory runs to classic ultra challenges:

100 km Ultra

  • Distance: ~100 km
  • Cut-offs: Intermediate ~50 km in ~8 h 30 min; Finish ~100 km in ~18 hrs
  • Best For: Advanced ultra runners seeking a long-haul Himalayan course.

75 km Ultra

  • Distance: ~75 km
  • Cut-offs: ~50 km in ~8 h 30 min; ~75 km in ~13 hrs
  • Best For: Experienced runners stepping up from 50K.

50 km Ultra

  • Distance: ~50 km
  • Cut-off: ~8 h 30 min
  • Best For: Intermediate ultra distance—all about pacing and endurance.

25 km Run

  • Distance: ~25 km
  • Cut-off: ~4 hrs
  • Best For: Trail runners looking to take on a longer challenge beyond 10 K.

Course Features & Terrain

  • The race is set in the Kangra Valley in the Western Himalayas with rolling hills, river valleys, and cultural heritage points — offering scenic yet demanding terrain.
  • The start area is near Government Polytechnic, Kangra with routes that weave past local landmarks and hilly village roads.
  • Early-morning starts help runners make the most of pleasant midday conditions typical of March in the region.
