Trip & Race Schedule (8 Days)

Day 1 – 27 Oct (Tuesday): Arrival at Mirik

  • Arrive Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Mirik Lake Resort.
  • Shared accommodation and meals included from arrival.
  • Briefing and orientation.

Day 2 – 28 Oct (Wednesday): Mirik Sightseeing

  • Optional sightseeing in Darjeeling — museums, markets, Toy Train ride.
  • Overnight at Mirik.

Day 3 – 29 Oct (Thursday): Stage 1 — Sandakphu (~24 miles)

  • Transfer to Maneybhanjang (6,600 ft) for race start.
  • Trail run to Sandakphu (11,815 ft) — gradual climbs, rolling sections, steep finish.
  • Aid stations ~every few km; overnight at Sandakphu.

Day 4 – 30 Oct (Friday): Stage 2 — Sandakphu (~20 miles)

  • Run from Sandakphu to Molle and back — out-and-back course.
  • Views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Kanchenjunga.
  • Overnight again at Sandakphu.

Day 5 – 31 Oct (Saturday): Stage 3 — Rimbik (~26.4 miles)

  • Retrace part of previous day, then descend toward Rimbik (6,350 ft).
  • Terrain includes steeper, rough trails and changing vegetation zones.
  • Overnight at Rimbik on race trek route.

Day 6 – 01 Nov (Sunday): Stage 4 — Rural Road (~13 miles)

  • Run scenic rural roads from Rimbik to Palmajua (~13 miles).
  • Return to Rimbik by bus; cultural experiences for walkers (monasteries, villages).

Day 7 – 02 Nov (Monday): Stage 5 — Final Stage (~17 miles)

  • Transfer to Dhotre, then run to finish at Maneybhanjang (6,600 ft) via pine forests and gradual downhills.
  • Buses take everyone back to Mirik; awards and dinner in the evening.

Day 8 – 03 Nov (Tuesday): Departure

  • Post-breakfast transfer to Bagdogra Airport, ending the event trip.

  • Wildlife & Culture: Expect to see yaks, wild ponies and possibly Red Panda in high elevations.
