Trail to the Himalayas’ Highest Challenge
The Indrahar Summit Run 2026 marks the fifth edition of one of India’s most iconic high-altitude trail running events. Set in the heart of Himachal Pradesh, this Himalayan trail race follows the legendary McLeodganj – Triund – Indrahar Pass route, taking runners deep into the majestic Dhauladhar range.
Blending technical trail running with mountain endurance, the Indrahar Summit Run offers four progressive race categories — from beginner-friendly forest trails to a demanding summit ascent above 14,000 ft.
This event is part of the Summit Run Series and introduces the Summit Slam 2026, rewarding runners who complete multiple races across the season.
The Trail Experience
The race begins on the famous Triund Trail, a well-maintained mountain route connecting McLeodganj, Dharamkot, and Triund. With wide pathways, forest sections, and panoramic ridges, this trail is ideal for both fast hiking and trail running.
Participants run on ancient Himalayan paths traditionally used by the Gaddi shepherd community, adding cultural depth to this adventure.
️ The Indrahar Summit
The highlight of the Indrahar Summit Run is the ascent to Indrahar Pass, located at 4,350 meters (14,271 ft). Beyond Triund, runners climb toward Lahesh Caves and the Snow Line before reaching the summit zone.
This high-altitude terrain offers unmatched views of the Greater Himalayas and presents one of India’s most demanding endurance challenges.
