Most trail runners chase a single peak moment — one race, one finish line, one medal. The Summit Slam by Boots & Crampons asks for something different. It asks for a year.
The Summit Slam is a year-long Himalayan trail running circuit that brings together three separate mountain races across three seasons and three distinct terrains. Complete all three, and you earn more than a result — you earn the title of Summit Slam Finisher. It’s a challenge built on consistency, commitment, and the discipline to return to the start line, again and again.
Organised by Boots & Crampons — registered with the Indian Mountaineering Foundation and Ministry of Tourism — the Summit Slam is now in its most ambitious edition yet. With routes across Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, it’s the most comprehensive Himalayan running circuit available to competitive trail runners in India today.
"Not one finish line. The Summit Slam is completed over time."
THE THREE RACES
Three Terrains. Three Seasons.
Together, the Summit Slam’s three races trace the Himalayas across seasons — from snow to sky to forests and rivers. Each event offers multiple distance categories, so runners at different stages of their trail running journey can take part.
01
4th Edition · 16km / 25km / 50km · Himachal Pradesh
The most popular Summit Run route, with over 3,00 runners across its history. Sethan Dome sends competitors across two summits, alpine meadows, and river crossings at high altitude. Three distance categories mean it’s as demanding as you want it to be — and it’s well-earned its reputation as the standout Himachal trail race.
02
5th Edition · 5km/ 10km / 16km / 20km / 30km · Dhauladhar Range
Now in its fifth edition, Indrahar is the race that built the Boots and Crampons Summit Run reputation. Four distance categories offer entry points from first-timers to ultra-competitors, but no distance is easy here. The defining feature is The Wall — a steep, boulder-strewn ascent that forces even elite runners to earn every step, with sweeping views of the Dhauladhar range as the reward.
03
3rd Edition · 16km / 30km / 42km · Tehri-Garhwal, Uttarakhand
The wildest leg of the Summit Slam. Dense Uttarakhand forests, ridgelines linking two summits — Nag Tibba and Lurntsu Top — and a new 30km category for 2026. A unique overnight forest camp adds a dimension of adventure that no road race can replicate. This is where the Slam becomes unforgettable.
Why Summit Slam Exists
Boots and Crampons built the Summit Slam to answer a question most race series ignore: what happens between race days? Most events are about the big moment — one perfect day, one peak effort. The Summit Slam is about everything that surrounds it.
The training blocks through winter. The reset after a hard race. The decision to show up again even when the body is tired. The Summit Slam asks runners to commit to all three races through the year. There is no shortcut through it. That’s exactly the point.
Built for Runners Who Believe
The Summit Slam Series is for runners who hold specific convictions: that consistency outweighs spikes of effort, that showing up counts as much as finishing fast, and that a full year is the real unit of challenge — not a single race morning. It’s also for runners genuinely curious about the Himalayas in their full variety — different elevations, seasons, and ecosystems. The Summit Slam gives that full picture.
