Meitra Vélo à Ooty is one of Kerala’s iconic long-distance cycling challenges, organised by Calicut Pedallers and set to return on 25 January 2026. This scenic endurance ride covers a demanding 160 km route from Calicut to Ooty, drawing cyclists who want to test strength, stamina, and spirit over varied terrain.

Distance & Format
- Distance: 160 km
- Start: Meitra Hospital, Calicut
- Finish: Hindustan Photo Films, Ooty
- Ride Window: 05:00 AM to approx. 07:00 PM with multiple cutoff points along the route.
The day ends with a felicitation dinner and medal ceremony at YWCA Anadhagiri, Ooty, celebrating walkers who complete the ride.
Race Categories
Participants can enter in these categories:
- Solo Men (18–49)
- Solo Women (18+)
- Masters (50+)
- Team (5 members) – Teams must include any mix of categories and at least four members must finish within the ride’s cutoff to qualify for ranking.
- Minor (15–17) – Requires parental consent and accompaniment for the full route.
